All over the weekend we have watched the Vlogs for D23 that happened in California. Some of our favourite vloggers were at the expo and released all the juicy new details for the Disney parks. So, lets get into it!
Disneyland Paris:
World of Frozen will open in 2026! We had originally planned to go DLP in 2025 Christmas season as it was rumoured World of Frozen was opening in Spring 2025. I’m glad we decided against this now.
It was also announced that Disney Adventure World (formally Studios) will be getting a brand-new Lion King attraction in its own area of the park called ‘Pride Rock’. This land will be built in the new area by World of Frozen and the Tangled attraction. From the concept art released its going to be a water ride like the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in WDW, that takes guests along Simba’s journey from Cub to King. This will also include a new dining area, shops and a chance to meet some of our favourite characters.
It was also revealed that DLP is getting 2 new nighttime spectaculars. The first being January 2025. This will be in the main park on the castle. The second being on the lake in Disney Adventure World. I cannot wait to see them both.
Walt Disney World!
WE ARE GETTING A VILLAIN’S LAND!!!! This has got to be the most highly requested and anticipated land! We saw concept art for it at a previous D23 although it never come to pass. UNTIL NOW! I have never been so excited about something in my life! It is going to feature 2 major attractions, restaurants, shopping and so much more! I cannot wait! There has been no official date given for this, but I hope its soon!
DinoLand USA will be replaced with the Tropical Americas Land in Animal Kingdom. The new land will be opening in 3 years and will be getting and Indiana Jones and Encanto attractions. The Indiana Jones ride will explore the recently discovered Maya Temple while the Encanto attraction will take you through a journey of the Madrigal family home. The rest of the land will be filled with dining, shops and entertainment. It will also feature one of the largest quick-service restaurants at Disney World. There will also be a carousel that features animals from Disney stories. How cute!
Cars is getting two new attractions in the Magic Kingdom that are set outside Radiator Springs! The first will be a thrilling race ride while the second will be aimed at children. As someone who loves CARS, I cannot wait to see what these rides are.
Hollywood Studios is getting a Monsters Inc Land!! Including what may be the most awesome ride! You will be able to visit Monstropolis and take part in Disney’s first ever suspending roller coaster!
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run will be getting a brand-new story featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu in 2026.
A new time parade ‘Disney Starlight’ will debut in the Magic Kingdom in 2025. As well as the Pirates of the Caribbean tavern opening in 2025.
A new lounge inspired by Spaceship Earth will open in Epcot in 2025. Also, the reimagined Test Track will also open in 2025.
California:
Coco is getting its very own attraction at Disney’s California Adventure. It will draw its inspiration from Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion!
Avatar Land will be opening at Disneyland’s Disney California Adventure. This will include features from all 3 films and include a new ride.
Disneyland’s upcoming Avengers attraction is officially being called Avengers Infinity Defence and will feature Thanos!
This land will double in size to include Avengers Infinity Defence and Stark Flight Lab being the main attractions. Avengers Infinity Defence will have guest jumping between worlds, that are missing, trying to stop Thanos. Stark Flight Lab will feature RDJ as Tony Stark. The ride will be guests sitting in a two-person pod being transported through a test station, with a robot arm grabbing the pod giving the feel of a simulated flight! Iron man is my favourite avenger so this will now be on my to-do list!
Disneyland’s Main Street Opera will be getting a brand new animatronic of the man who created it all, Walt Disney! The show will be called ‘Walt Disney: a magical life’ This will debut in 2025!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open in Disneyland this year! The attraction will be opening on 15th November!
Disneylands 70th Anniversary will also be celebrated in 2025. Although, its birthday isn’t officially until July, celebrations will start early in 2025.
In other news:
Shanghai are getting a new thrill coaster featuring Spider-Man. Hong Kong will be adding a Spider-Man attraction to the Stark Expo Area and Tokyo will be debuting a new nighttime spectacular called ‘Reach for the Stars’ and will feature characters from Big Hero 6, UP and heroes from Marvel.
Disney Cruises will be adding four new ships to their fleets, they will set sail between 2027 – 2031. This will give different guests in different parts of the world the opportunity to experience Disney at sea. Here’s hoping one of them will be permanently in Europe!
Loads of new films and series announced too. Moana 2, Live Action Mufasa, Live Action Snow White, Avatar: Fire and Ash, Monster Jam, Toy Story 5, Elio, Incredibles 3, Zootopia 2, Hoppers, Frozen 3, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Freakier Friday, Live Action Lilo & Stitch, Star Wars series, Andor season 2, Ironheart, Daredevil returns and New David Blaine Show. All being released between 2024 and 2027.
With all these exciting new things happening across all the Disney platforms, I need to save major coins for the mouse! Let the planning commence!
