How am I planning my eldest child’s birthday presents already! Only seems like a minute ago she was born! Now she transformed into an independent, confident if not ever so slightly opinionated, resilient young lady!
Enough of the nostalgia, lets talk birthday presents!
She’s had her 16 for16, but I needed to get her a super dooper amazing present to make her go wow! What better than a little DISNEY TRIP!
I got to looking just after Christmas for a little 2-night 3-day trip to Disneyland Paris for just me and her after her birthday, when it’s a little quieter.
I went to attraction tickets to price this up. I decided on Santa Fe as CARS is one of her favourite Disney films. We both love staying here. Chose the full board meal plan so we don’t have to worry about food and chose September to go! It came back at just over £800 for both of us! Booked!
Amid all this, I had been discussing our Walt Disney World trip with Kirst as it was nearly time to book, and unfortunately, due to circumstances Kirst made the decision to postpone her coming with us as it just wasn’t the right time for her. Her youngest had never been on a plane and it wasn’t fair to make her take a 9-hour flight for her first flight.
As I had already booked this trip, I asked if Kirst and her youngest would like to tag along and make it an awesome first trip ever for her! She said if it wasn’t too expensive, and we didn’t mind she’d consider it.
I got onto ATTRACTION TICKETS; I’ve got to say their customer service is unreal. Nothing too much for them. I asked if we could add another adult and a child on the same meal plan. They came back with a fantastic quote; for all 4 of us for 2-night – 3 days with park passes its cost us £1438.17. Mine and Rubi’s was slightly more as Kirst has a child under 9 so the rates for food were different. But what a bargain.
We knew we wanted to travel from BHX as this is the closest hotel, so we discussed whether we should travel on the Sunday or go a day early and do some shopping. It was over £300 more expensive to travel on the Sunday, so we opted for the Saturday. We booked a lovely little hotel room, called Cosy Apartments for £132 for 4 people for 1 night, on Booking.com which is 300m away from Val D’europe shopping centre. Our flights were £716.84 booked directly with Air France 10:20am fly out and 5:30pm flight home. PERFECT!
Total cost for 4 people for 3 nights 4 days was £2287.01
I cannot wait for Rubi to find this all out on her Birthday. I have got her a little cabin bag from Amazon, I’ve packed a lanyard, ears, Euros and a little boarding pass explain what’s happening!
The excitement it real! Watch this space for the upcoming Blog, which may also be our first VLOG!
